A Type 01 Federal Firearms License authorizes the holder to deal in firearms — including handguns, rifles, and shotguns — and to conduct NICS background checks for firearm transfers to members of the public.
REV-TAC is authorized to accept firearms shipped to them for transfer and to conduct NICS background checks on behalf of the buyer.
The ATF eZ Check tool allows anyone — including dealers, distributors, and buyers — to instantly verify whether a Federal Firearms License is currently valid. Before shipping any firearm to REV-TAC, use eZ Check to confirm their license is active and has not expired.
Per 27 CFR 478.94, a licensed dealer must obtain a copy of the FFL from the licensee they are shipping to before transferring any firearm. eZ Check provides real-time verification directly from ATF records.
