Springfield Armory's Prodigy represents a modern evolution of the classic 1911, chambered in 9mm Luger with a double-stack polymer grip module that delivers unprecedented capacity. This semi-automatic handgun ships with a 4.25-inch forged stainless steel match-grade bull barrel finished in Cerakote, paired with a forged carbon steel slide and frame also finished in Cerakote. The optics-ready slide accommodates the Agency Optic System for modern reflex sight mounting. Standard magazine configuration includes two 17-round and one 20-round detachable magazines. Additional features consist of fiber optic front sights, fixed serrated rear sights, ambidextrous manual safety, Picatinny rail, and a two-piece full-length guide rod recoil system. The pistol weighs 32.5 ounces with an overall length of 7.8 inches and height of 5.5 inches. A protective double-zipper carrying case with interior magazine pouch is included.
