This Smith & Wesson M&P 15 AXE is a 5.56x45 NATO semi-automatic rifle engineered for versatility and reliable performance across diverse shooting conditions. The rifle features a 16.1-inch barrel with a 1:8 twist rate and Armornite finish, paired with Gemtech's proprietary GVAC upper receiver that mitigates gas blowback when running suppressed. The mid-length direct impingement gas system drives a pinned low-profile GVAC gas block. A 15-inch Midwest Industries M-LOK free-float handguard provides attachment flexibility, while ambidextrous controls including bolt release, magazine catch, and thumb safety accommodate both left and right-handed shooters. Standard equipment includes a Radian Raptor charging handle, adjustable folding sights, Magpul CTR adjustable stock, and an M&P grip with interchangeable backstraps. The rifle ships with one 30-round magazine and weighs 6.65 pounds.
