Safety Tips
- Meet in a public, well-lit spot — a police-station safe exchange zone is the best choice.
- Bring a friend along for high-value deals; avoid meeting alone or after dark.
- Inspect the item in person before any money changes hands, and never send a deposit to “hold” it.
- Put the deal on paper — a signed bill of sale protects both sides.
- Refuse wire transfers, gift cards, and crypto — scammers ask for exactly these.
- If the price looks too good to be true or the other party rushes you, walk away.
Description
$2,950.00
Rare find? You bet it is! This shotgun is a highly sought-after collector or field piece. It is in tight, near pristine condition. ONLY one box of light #8 birdshot went through these barrels after it was purchased NEW (29 years ago) for test firing. It’s been kept clean and maintained in a case ever since.Description:

You can only find this Beretta 470 Silver Hawk on the pre-owned market through specialized retailers and auction sites, and there are not many left, especially in near pristine condition.
The used market value for this shotgun in “excellent condition” ranges from $2,500 to $3,500. Mine is “near pristine” only because it was test fired after I purchased it (one box of shells) almost 30 years ago.
In late 2025, I emailed numerous high resolution photos covering every inch of this shotgun to a major online auction house. After lengthy communications, they evaluated it and I was offered an outright buy of $3000.00 or an auction reserve of $2900.00. Obviously, they were positive they could fetch more and make a profit or maybe they wanted it for their personal collection.
However, due to a succession of illness and numerous major surgeries, I missed their "ship-by-date" and it could not be included in their upcoming 2026 auction. I'm in no hurry to sell this shotgun, it’s only waiting for the right buyer – someone that knows firearms and will instantly recognize its value and/or finally fill that empty hole in their collection.
Note: I might consider a price reduction trade for only a Smith & Wesson 357 - Model 586, blue finish with negligible head space (Combat model preferred). Sorry, no other price reduction trades will be considered.

Happy hunting.
